The A Team - Creating A New Student Garden

On Thursday 22nd April, members of the A Team spent time preparing the ground ready for the summer planting of our new ‘Students garden’ which is located on the mound.

Then on the 23rd Apriil some of the same students worked with our Design Tech Dept. to prepare our signage board which will be a feature in the students’ garden. (see photo page 29)

This is the beginning of a year long project to provide opportunities to our students to gain knowledge and learn about cultivation of plants.

I have really enjoyed being part of this project which represents the student voice and how nature can be beautiful.  It was fun turning the soil and although very hard work, it felt rewarding to help and make this reality.  I look forward to everyone using it for years to come.  Melody Moles
