The Library is at the heart of The Regis School, situated in the north atrium. It is the first port of call for research and reading. An extensive range of literature is available for loan, carefully selected to appeal to the teenage reader. The Library also houses up-to-date quality information resources and reference material, including journals and newspapers.
The Library has fantastic ICT facilities with 12 PCs, and a bank of 30 netbooks that can be used wirelessly around the room. Students can access the library catalogue ‘Eclipse.net’ to search for books and check their library account, which includes adding book reviews and reserving books.
The Chartered Librarian and her assistant are always on hand to help with finding information, giving friendly advice and recommending titles to students.
The library promotes a love of reading and reading for pleasure. Schemes such as Accelerated Reader encourage students to read and thus improve their literacy. The Library also organises many reading initiatives, clubs, author visits and Book Awards.
Students may access the Library during all breaktimes and lunchtimes. It is also open every day after school for students wishing to complete homework.
