Family Cookery Christmas Masterclass

Families of Year 7 and 9 were invited to a Family Cookery Christmas Masterclass. The Masterclass is part of our Parental Engagement Scheme. Students and their families made a range of festive products including Chocolate Log, Mince Pies and Gingerbread. The course is now into its third week and both students and their families are really enjoying themselves and have told me that they are already cooking more home-made dishes. This is a pilot scheme that will hopefully develop into a bigger project that will help more families ‘ instill a love’ for cooking. This will help with not only promoting wellbeing but also reduce fats and sugar that are hidden in processed foods.
