Food Drive - Going the Extra Mile

I would like to share a photograph of one of my Year 8 students.  Lacey Matthews (8H) donated a huge amount of food for the food drive.  She compiled her own shopping list and went to Tesco’s and did the shopping herself.  Her donated food included luxury items such as , chocolates, Christmas jams, redcurrant jelly , pancake making kits, branded cooking sauces and luxury tea bags to name a few.  Her food items were very carefully thought out so that there would be items for every member of a family.  There were two full boxes and she had to get her dad to help deliver them to the school.  The funny thing is that, she was given achievement points from someone in reception for “being kind” helping out a delivery man that was her own dad!!!  As her tutor I awarded her 30 achievement points and I would like her to be recognised for her huge effort.

Mrs George 8H
