We’re only in October, and our Drama and Performing Arts students have already been making waves!
On 17th September, we were thrilled to welcome Steve Kirkham from Frantic Assembly, the world’s leading Physical Theatre company. Students in Years 10, 12, and 13 took part in an inspiring two-hour workshop exploring Frantic Assembly’s unique techniques and creative processes.
Our students threw themselves into the challenge, collaborating with new partners and producing some fantastic material. Many have already started incorporating these techniques into their classwork, showing real creativity and confidence.
Steve was hugely impressed - especially with our Sixth Form students, who have studied Frantic Assembly in depth. He even invited them to attend the Frantic Ignition trials, an incredible opportunity where 24 young people (aged 16-22) are selected to perform on a professional stage under the direction of Frantic’s creator, Scott Graham.
This experience has not only been fun but has also opened doors, boosted confidence, and inspired our students to push their boundaries in the world of theatre.
